Statement door knocker’s earrings designed by Wander-France.
This is a beautiful and bold pair of door-knockers earrings created by Wander-France, back in the 1960-1970. These gorgeous earrings were crafted with modernist patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured and polished finishes. They are accompanied with a pair of convertible frosted hooplets carved from natural rock quartz. The earrings are fitted at the reverse with concealed hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of gold posts for pierced ears can easily done.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 yellow gold and signed as follows, "WANDER FRANCE 18KT".
Wander-France
He was born into a jewelry family who owned salons in New York City and Paris, as well as jewelry concessions in fine department stores throughout the American southwest. After serving as president of his family firm for a time, he set out on his own and began producing his own designs under the name of Wander France and more later Winc Inc. Wander is remembered by fellow designers as a pioneer in jewelry creation who sold his work through some of America's finest jewelry galleries and department stores for over 40 years. He was among the first designers to travel to Hong Kong in the mid-1980's to find ways to produce fine jewelry at a very high level of craftsmanship, while making it available to a much broader audience. Along the way he helped found a jewelry production house, DWL, in Hong Kong, which would rise to global renown owing much to Wander’s challenging designs.
