About the Item
Pair of hoops earrings designed by Kutchinsky.
This is a fantastic pair of oversized hoop-earrings, created in London England by the jewelry house of Kutchinsky, back 1972. The pair was made-up with outstanding craftsmanship with twisted wires crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish. They are fitted at the reverse with concealed gold posts for pierced ears and comfortable hinged omega back for fastening clips.
Weight: 47.95 Grams, (30.75 Dwt.).
Measures: 35 mm by 35 mm by 10 mm (1.38 x 1.38 x 0.39 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with British marks for the city of London, the maker's mark associated to Kutchinsky, the letter Q, for the year of production 1972, the mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold and signed as follows; KTY 0.750 Q LDO".
Kutchinsky
This was a jewelry company founded in the 1890 and was always based in London, United Kingdom. They have been very well knowing jewelry makers, with attention to fine quality, craft and well-made designed pieces, this piece was made in the beginning of the 1970's when the company was more focused on larger pieces right in step with the style of the seventies. As usual made in 18 karats gold this piece is one of the perfect examples of the late Kutchinsky mid-century taste.
Collateral: These Kutchinsky hoops earrings are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of these hoops by Kutchinsky is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All parts are secured in the settings. This pair was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
