About the Item
Wonderful English turquoise earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold and sterling silver, the entire surface of the earrings is encrusted with turquoise stones. Each earring begins with a circular surmount, which is decorated with turquoise stones. Hanging from the surmount are 5 single turquoise stones, which are held within sterling silver bezel settings and progress vertically downwards. The next portion of the earring is a dome-shaped component, which features 6 dangling teardrop-shaped links. The earrings are completed by simple earring wires. A colorful example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, these earrings would make a lovely addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long, and 3/8" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or sterling silver setting. All of the turquoise stones are secure and intact, and the earring wires are intact.
