About the Item
This antique late 19th century 14 karat yellow gold jewelry set consisting of a pair of earrings and brooch. These jewels are very fine detailed with filigree and cannetille work, embellished with a pearl in the middle. In the Netherlands, the small knots on these jewels are also-called 'spiders', the body in the center surrounded by its legs. Besides the beautiful detailing of the surface of the earrings and brooch, the tassels below the top completes the whole look of these beauties.
This kind of jewelry was worn by women around 1900 in the southern part of The Netherlands, Scheveningen. The jewelry is in good condition. The brooch has a very small gap on the side, this doesn't detract the beauty of this piece and hardly visible to the naked eye. The jewelry has been photographed up close. Marked and tested as 14 karat gold.
