About the Item
exquisite gemstones with great color combinations, unusual ear studs with antique rose-colored tourmalines in an octagon cut set in chatons in a very clear and color-intensive quality, totaling approx. 4.05 ct, AAA+, plus, as a color-intensive contrast, ice blue natural blue zircons totaling approx. 2.22 ct, AAA+, dimensions of the earrings approx. 17 x 7.5 x 15 (4.5 without pins) mm, ear studs, weight approx. 4.78 grams.
About tourmaline:
It is available in all price ranges, the most expensive is the Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil, followed by top gemstones from Africa and Afghanistan, which are enjoying growing popularity.
Just like the Paraiba tourmaline, the other types of tourmaline will also experience an increase in price over the years, because large, flawless gemstones in top colors (green, green-mint, lagoon, seamfoam, blue) are rare and increasing demand is driving up carat prices .

The name tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word tura mali, which means "a mixed-colored stone." For the mineralogist, tourmalines are simply a group of silicate (borosilicate) minerals.
The color nuances range from colorless, red, pink, green, yellow, blue to black.
A special feature is pleochroism, the tourmaline shows up in different colors depending on the direction you look at it and the piezoelectricity and pyroelectricity, opposite crystal ends are charged differently.
