Esther Eyre has been designing and making precious jewellery for over twenty years. She trained at Kingston and Middlesex gaining a BA in jewellery design in 1982. Esther worked briefly in Mappin Webb before setting up her own business in 1983. Using mainly 18 carat gold and precious stones, Esther designs and makes special commissions for a large number of private clients including members of the Royal family and international celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Tilda Swinton and Ringo Starr. Esther’s specialist knowledge of period jewellery has made her sought after for work on films such as ‘Shakespeare in Love’, ‘Ever After’ and ‘Orlando’. Although trained primarily as a formal goldsmith, Esther enjoys using the cornucopia of semi-precious stones to create exciting blends of colour and texture, resulting in pieces that are not just jewellery but a wonderful and unique accessory.
