About the Item
Eytan Brandes cast these ferocious lobe lions from one of our old sterling silver charm molds. They look fabulous in shimmery 18 karat gold, and Eytan went over the surfaces by hand to add detail and definition to the big cats' faces. The eyes are set with natural (heat only) dark blue sapphires.
The hardware on the backs -- the omega clip, hinge and post -- are all 14 karat yellow gold.
Each lion is about 5/8" tall and wide. Together, they weigh a prideful (but not too heavy!) 10.2 grams. The 14 karat weight is 1.4 grams, and the sapphire weight is just under 0.06 carats.
Note for size comparison purposes that our creepy silicone ears are life-sized.
Note: If you would prefer traditional posts with 14 karat butterfly backs, please let us know. Same goes for ruby eyes instead of sapphire eyes, or 14K instead of 18K, or rose or white gold instead of yellow. Just send us a message with your specific lion-related needs!
