About the Item
A unique vintage pair of Poiray blue sapphire earrings set in 18k yellow and silver.
Each earring is predominantly set with a fancy teardrop shape blue sapphire. The sapphires are then rubover set in a yellow gold setting and surrounded by a border of oxidized silver. The contrast of the blackened silver against the yellow gold and blue sapphires is incredibly unique yet very elegant. They are secured to reverse with clip fittings however can have posts added upon request.
Due to the size and design, these earrings could be worn for a variety of occasions. The design allows the pair to be worn for everyday wear, or alternatively dressed up for more special occasions.
The earrings measure approximately 1.6 x 1.3 centimetres and have a combined weight of 9.6 grams. There is an estimated combined sapphire weight of 3.00 carats. They are both signed and stamped Poiray, 750 (for 18k gold), 925 (for silver).
