About the Item
This highly unusual and very rare pair of cufflinks is executed in the archaeological style by the jewellers G.Roccheggiani of Via Condotti 19, Rome.
Antique coins are set in silver mounts, partially blackened and highlighted with rose gold.
A brooch, also with a coin in a very similar mounting, made by Carlo Giuliano, is published in the catalogue of the Hull Grundy Gift in the British Museum.
The cufflinks come in their original fitted case.
