Turn of the century heavy gauge sterling brooch by Gorham manufacturers. The Gorham company specialized in the highest quality flatware and holloware of the period. The jewelry production was small in comparison and large pieces with stones are exceedingly rare.
Large signed brooch of a lovely Art Nouveau maiden with tendrils of hair forming the whiplash motifs within the design. 3 bezel set amythests are set in her hair. Circa 1900 USA. 3.5" x 1.5"
