180ct aquamarine mala necklace with antique aquamarine beads, an 18.88 carat green tourmaline centerpiece and platinum craftsmanship, inspired by Buddhist mala symbolism and Mediterranean elegance.
Inspired by the symbolic structure of a Buddhist mala and a formative journey by Maximilian Hemmerle to Sardinia along the Costa Smeralda, this exceptional MXHM gemstone necklace translates spirituality, rhythm and light into contemporary high jewelry. The collier centers on a deeply saturated 18.88 carat green tourmaline, framed by diamond set rondelles, cabochon tourmalines and a cascading architectural element of quadratic aquamarines that adds movement and sculptural depth.
The necklace strand is composed of over 180 carats of antique round aquamarines, each bead unique in character and provenance. Their subtle variations reflect age, authenticity and natural beauty. The aquamarine strand may be worn alone for a refined, relaxed look or combined with the pendant to create a striking statement necklace. Entirely crafted in platinum, the piece harmonizes historical gemstones with the architectural, contemporary language that defines MXHM. The result is a versatile, expressive collier conceived as both personal talisman and collectible high jewelry piece.
DESIGNER
This necklace embodies the dual heritage at the heart of MXHM. Maternally, Maximilian Hemmerle descends from René Sim Lacaze, his grandfather and former head designer of Van Cleef and Arpels, whose Parisian design language shaped some of the most iconic jewels of the twentieth century. Paternally, he comes from a long line of master jewelers who served as royal court suppliers to the Bavarian monarchy. This fusion of French elegance and Bavarian craftsmanship informs the precision, material excellence and artistic ambition of every MXHM creation.
