About the Item
An elegant Akoya pearl strand necklace with a ball clasp in 9k white gold.
The necklace is set with 72 round Akoya pearls from Japan. The strand is knotted between the pearls to protect them from scratching each other. It is then secured with a polished white gold ball-shaped clasp.
These Akoya cultured pearls displayed a white to cream body colour and a pink overtone, which shows an iridescence bright lustre under lights. The tiny growth marks of the pearls show its natural oceanic nacre.
Due to its design and size, the necklace makes an elegant and classic statement piece. It can be worn on various occasions.
The pearls measure approximately between 0.55 and 0.6 centimetres in diameter, and they are visually matched in size. For size reference, the necklace measures approximately 46 centimetres in length, with a gross weight of 20.4 grams.
The clasp is hallmarked 375 (for 9k gold), Birmingham. Lastly, a valuation for insurance and authenticity will accompany this piece.
