About the Item
This antique late 19th century coral necklace is created with a 14 karat gold clasp. The beautiful three-strand coral necklace is strung with small coral beads and the strands. The clasp has a beautiful scalloped and engraved design flanked by two golden half moons. A coral cabochon is placed in the center.
In the 16th century, the traditional costume was created in the Netherlands, including jewelry made of coral, which lasted until the 20th century. These types of jewels represent a varied and rich historical Dutch cultural heritage, worn by women in some parts of the Netherlands.
The necklace is in very good condition and of high quality. Marked and tested as 14 karat gold.
