About the Item
A refined antique jadeite necklace composed of three strands of beautifully matched jade beads, graduating in size from approximately 9.0 mm to 4.8 mm. The necklace is centered with an impressive carved jadeite clasp, measuring about 35.0 x 32.2 x 2.8 mm, intricately worked with naturalistic fruit and floral motifs, symbols of abundance, harmony, and longevity in Chinese tradition.
The necklace has been examined by the Netherlands Gemstone Laboratory and confirmed as natural, untreated jadeite (A-Jade), with no evidence of impregnation. A copy of this report will be provided with the purchase.
Weighing a substantial 90.20 grams, the necklace measures 38 cm in length (15 inches), including clasp, and sits elegantly at the base of the neck. The cool, translucent green hues of the jade are enhanced by the smooth polish of the beads and the finely detailed carving of the clasp, giving the piece both a tactile beauty and cultural significance.
