THIS IS AN EXQUISITE AND RARE ANTIQUE ART DECO MUTTON FAT JADE NECKLACE WITH A CARVED HAND HOLDING A FRUIT IN ITS PALM AND A STRING OF BEADS WITH ADDITIONAL JADE FLOWERS AND A CARNELIAN BEAD ON A CHINESE BRAIDED SILK NECKLACE. THE MUTTON FAT JADE IS EXTREMELY FINE QUALITY WITH WONDERFUL TRANSLUCENCE AND CONFORMITY OF COLOR.
THE STUNNING NECKLACE HAS A FABULOUS CARVED JADE PENDANT IN THE FORM OF A HAND. THIS HAND HOLDS A FRUIT IN ITS PALM AND A STRING OF GORGEOUS JADE BEADS. IN THE ITALIAN CULTURE THE HAND PENDANT IS KNOWN AS A FIGA. THE MUTTON FAT JADE IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND THE CARVING IS SUPERB. IT IS SO SPECIAL WITH THE FRUIT IN ITS PALM AND THE STRING OF BEADS.
ATOP THE HAND IS A LOVELY CARNELIAN BEAD. CONTINUING ON THE GREEN SILK CHAIN ARE ADDITIONAL JADE BEADS AND FLOWER FORM BEADS. THE TIED CLASP IS FURTHER ADORNED WITH TWO JADE BEADS.
THE QUALITY AND COLOR OF THE JADE IS VERY FINE. THE 25 INCH LENGTH OF THE NECKLACE IS PERFECT FOR WEARING LONG AROUND THE NECK. THE NECKLACE IS A PERIOD CLASSIC AND ELEGANT JEWEL THAT CAN BE WORN EVERY DAY OR AT THE MOST GLAMOROUS AFFAIR. IT IS A TREASURE TO BE PASSED ON FOR GENERATIONS.
