These days China is coming out with large freshwater pearls that are comparable to the best saltwater pearls.
Most people see the small cheap button or potato-shaped pearl strands.
The 14k yellow gold clasp is stamped 14k and is set with small round single-cut diamonds, .10 carats total.
The pearls average 11mm in diameter.
