About the Item
This very out of the ordinary and stylish 52 inch long, three strand Japanese Akoya salt water cultured pearl lariat necklace is punctuated at 2 1/4 inch intervals by round Green 10mm Chrysophase and tumbled blue sodalite beads. All cultured pearls are semi-baroque and measure approximately 6.50mm in diameter. All are cream color and exhibit medium to high luster. The " coup de gras " here are two highly stippled 3/4 inch diameter 14k yellow gold caps from which hang seven long tassels of stones and pearls found in the main body of the necklace.
This wonderful vintage necklace is extremely versatile and can be worn with a knot fashioned almost anywhere along it's length. See the last three photos showing different versions of how the necklace can be worn. The end caps are not marked but do test as 14k gold. Gross weight 291.50 grams.
