From the Collection of Shirley Conran DBE
A jade bead necklace composed of polished pale green jade beads measuring approximately 15.9 mm in diameter, strung as a single row and fitted with a decorative metal clasp (unmarked). The necklace measures 47.0 cm in length and weighs 147.1 grams. Lovely semi-translucent beads.
The jade presents soft celadon to yellow-green hues with natural mottling and inclusions, characteristic of authentic jade and lending the necklace an organic, understated elegance. The substantial bead size gives the piece a bold yet refined presence at the neckline.
From the personal collection of Shirley Conran DBE (1932–2024), whose influence on modern journalism, design, and feminist literature defined a generation. The provenance enhances the narrative appeal of this necklace while remaining true to its function as a beautifully wearable piece of jewellery.
