About the Item
On view is a long necklace of faceted London blue topaz with colorful stations of large lapis lazuli round polished beads alternating with slightly larger azuremalachite beads. Azuremalachite is a beautiful and uncommon stone which is a naturally occurring mixture of azurite and malachite which I find particularly appealing and beautiful.
Both the lapis lazuli beads and the azuremalachite beads are flanked by multi faceted gilt metal rondelles which are alternating green hand carved melon shaped beads flanking the lapis lazuli beads and beautifully colored turquoise round beads flanking the azuremalachite beads.
The main part of the strand is a wonderfully intense blue with green overtones of hand faceted London Blue topaz beads.
The strand is joined together with a small unobtrusive gold vermeil box clasp set with an oval lapis lazuli cabachon stone.
This piece is long enough to around the neck twice or if you have a small neck even three times. Versatile enough for a flapper look, an opera length or possibly even a choker. I think this would look great with blue jeans or for dressier evening wear.
