From the Collection of Shirley Conran DBE
A long jade bead necklace composed of uniform polished green jade beads measuring approximately 12.3 mm in diameter, with a total weight of 160.8 grams. The beads are strung as a continuous opera-length strand measuring approximately 78 cm, allowing the necklace to be worn long or doubled for versatility. Lovely semi-translucent beads.
The jade displays an attractive mid- to dark-green tone with subtle natural variation and a high polish, giving the necklace strong visual presence and a sculptural, modern feel.
From the personal collection of Shirley Conran DBE (1932–2024) — journalist, designer, and bestselling author, widely recognised as a pioneering voice in women’s journalism and feminist publishing. This provenance adds cultural depth and a sense of personal style to an elegant and wearable jade necklace.
