About the Item
An opal, lapis lazuli and rock crystal bead necklace with a diamond set clasp
This Art Deco inspired bead necklace features the bold colour palate evocative of a golden period in jewellery design.
Set with alternating round opal, lapis lazuli beads and faceted rock crystal rondells, finished with an 18 karat white gold rectangular clasp with three eight cut diamonds, for a total weight of 0.10 carats approximately, assessed as G/H colour, VS2 clarity.
The beads are double knotted for aesthetics and safety and the clasp has a push piece fastening function, stamped with Assay marks for France
The play-of-colour from the opal beads is lively and bright, coupled with the rich blue of the lapis lazuli beads the contrast is elegant, and beautifully wearable - suitable for both day and evening wear.
Lapis lazuli is a semiprecious stone prized for its deep blue colour.
Historically lapis lazuli has had associations with royalty, strength courage, wisdom and intellect, friendship and truth. It has often been believed to ward off evil.
