About the Item
This is a Pink Sponge Coral Opera Necklace. It depicts a long necklace with pink coral color porous disc shaped coral beads. The sponge coral disc beads have been strung in a thick thread and hold with knots. Sponge Corals are not made of sea sponge, they are really coral with holes where the polyps - the sea creatures that make corals lives in them. When they leave the corals, usually the holes close, but in the sponge coral stay open. Coral symbolizes life and energy. For centuries has been recognized its apotropaic and healing value.
