About the Item
This eye-catching blue dumortierite necklace is not only unusual and beautiful, it is reversible, making it versatile! Harder than lapis on the Mohs Hardness scale, dumortierite with its stunning blue color is a relatively unknown mineral and hard to find in fine quality such as the tiles in this collection. These gem-quality tiles have a tapered rectangular shape and graduate ever so slightly, with the largest tile measuring 1-1/8" long x 3/4" at its widest dimension. The tiles are polished on one side that showcases the soft, yet rich blue, peach and white coloring as well as the texture of these gems. The reverse side of the necklace has a more casual look with medium denim blue coloring on the unpolished, "rough" looking tiles. Both sides are wonderful examples of nature's beauty, and the reversible nature of this necklace makes it easy to dress up or down to achieve different looks! 14k yellow gold stardust beads accent the tiles and elevate the necklace to fine-jewelry status. The pretty yellow gold hinged clasp is 14k yellow gold and brings the necklace to a finished length of 18" inches. A naturally beautiful statement piece!
