About the Item
A simple yet beautiful beaded coral necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This lovely piece is comprised of a single strand of natural undyed coral beads, which are strung on white thread. The beads vary slightly in shape and color, but are all incredibly vivid. The piece secures with a 14k push clasp, which takes on the form of three gold beads. The tongue of the push clasp is stamped "14K" and "ONGS". A fantastic strand, this piece would make a great addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The entire necklace measures approximately 20" in length. The largest bead measures 11.6mm, and the smallest measures 9.13mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the coral beads, which are securely strung and intact. Some of the coral beads show small, natural dark inclusions, which is normal for genuine coral and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. The gold beads and clasp are all secure and in working order.
