About the Item

Attributed to Louis Rousselet, born 1892-1980 in Paris. This lovely vintage necklace date to the late 1950/60, made of simulated pearls of silver and rose. It's unsigned which is typical for Rousselet pieces as they were usually only singed on their paper tags. However, if you're familiar with Louis Rousselet jewellery, in particular his pearls, you will recognize the distinct quality from glass beads covered in multiple layers of Essence D'Orient, a fish scale compound . Rousselet is best know for his pearls, and he even designed many pearl sautoir for Chanel. Measurement: Full length of the necklace 42 cm, middle part 11 cm of 4 cm, the large rosa pearl are 1 cm in diameter, typical work by Richelieu Pairs in the 1940s. The necklace goes well with a narrow, slender neck. The necklace is in excellent condition with minimal signs of age.
