About the Item
A sumptuous Vintage VOGUE Crystal Torsade with matching earrings. Row upon row of glass beads culminate with a statement feature clasp. The high point of the clasp, a giant topaz crystal, is set within a floral inspired gallery, further embellished with small topaz crystals. The earrings pick up to perfection on the beads in the necklace. A mesmerising piece of wearable art from the 1950s.
Vogue Jewelry was established in New York in 1936 by Grant, Gilbert and Shapiro. They produced incredible pieces of costume jewellery which were hugely popular during the 1950s and 60s. Their Statement collars, sets and exquisitely embellished clasps were in hot demand. The business closed during the 1970s and the best pieces of Vogue Jewelry are now scarce and coveted.
Vintage Condition: Very good without damage or noteworthy wear.
