This stunning, fine and impressive snake necklace has been crafted in 21k yellow gold. The exceptional example of Victorian jewelry has been crafted in the form of a snake's head and serpent-like body. The snake's head is embellished with a textured design and interlacing scrolling leaf motifs. The head is further ornamented with an impressive claw set heart shaped garnet to the crown, above two Old European cut diamonds, collet set to represent the snake's eyes. A feature claw set cabochon cut garnet suspends from a ring loop to the snake's open mouth, set to the center of a pear shaped design. The body of the snake is represented by a graduated snake chain, by which means the necklace is worn around the neck. This fine and impressive antique garnet and pearl pendant has been crafted in 9k yellow gold. The pierced decorated, fan shaped frame is ornamented with a central bezel set oval mixed cut garnet to the center of the design. A multi-strand arrangement accented with a trefoil leaf motif is embellished with nine bezel set seed pearls. The pendant is further ornamented with a feature articulated bezel set oval mixed cut garnet drop to the nadir. This impressive antique pendant suspends from a 9k yellow gold 40.64cm/16" figaro chain via an integrated tapering ring loop attachment.
