About the Item
Monet beautiful gold plated and cream enamel necklace and earrings set. The set is in very good condition and will arrive in the original Monet box.
The necklace has a wide mesh chain finishing with a fold over clasp. Featuring a cream enamel and gold plated centrepiece in an abstract design. Measuring length approximately 44 cm / 17.3 inches. The mesh chain is width 1.3 cm / .5 inch, and the centrepiece is maximum width 2.9 cm / 1.14 inches.
The matching gold plated large half hoop earrings have the cream enamel design. Measuring diameter 3.7 cm / 1.45 inches.
This is a quality Monet statement necklace and earrings. Circa 1980s.
Monet was founded in 1929 by Michael and Jay Chernow in Providence, Rhode Island, and became one of the leading names in costume jewellery design during the 1940's. By the 1980's Monet was producing jewellery for Yves Saint Laurent, and is still a successful company today.
