About the Item
This is a beautiful and complex Victorian watch chain in 14k gold. The intricate link of the chain is reminiscent of a bike chain and pivots and rotates in more than one direction. It is almost like a fidget spinner and it invites you to study it and play with it. On one end is a section of oval link chain that culminates with a dog clip. On the other end is a T-bar, sculptural and textured, with two rings that fold over to wrap around it.
At 13.25”, the chain is not quite long enough to wrap all the way around the neck, but is perfect for joining with another chain for an asymmetrical, mixed look. It is pictured here with our Victorian Sterling Silver and Niello Watch Chain with Large Spring Ring, and pairs beautifully with many of the chains we have available in our shop, or could also be the perfect match for a chain already in your collection.
The chain weighs 31.4 grams. From link to link, it measures 13.25”, and the T-Bar measures 1.5” across. Unmarked, it acid tests as 14k gold.
