This gold book chain from the Victorian era (ca1880) is quite an outstanding piece! English in origin, it is hand crafted in vibrant 15ct yellow gold and has a wonderful Etruscan wirework motif applied to the surface. The design is comprised of interlocking panel links, each connected with smooth gold rings at the top and bottom. The Etruscan wirework and beadwork pattern gives wonderful depth and texture to the design, while the reverse side of the piece is left smooth. A removable gold spring ring clasp rests at the center, allowing a complimentary pendant or locket to be attached to the center if desired.
