Top quality 33 round tahitian and southsea cultured pearl necklace in the most beautiful natural colors w.e.g. gold, mocha, grey, aubergine, pistachio, anthracite and with a very fine luster, pearls (AAA+-AAA) with few growth marks typical of Tahitian cultured pearls, 12-14.8 mm in size, slightly gradient, individually knotted, length approx. 46 cm long, with Stainless steel interchangeable clasp from a well-known manufacturer, all information was checked for authenticity and quality by a jewellery specialist, what a natural variety of colors!, from a connoisseur's hand as a strand compiled
History of Tahitian Cultured Pearls: The islands of French Polynesia are the source of the Tahitian cultured pearls for this wonderful strand of Tahitian cultured pearls. The pearls are created in the "Te ufi" as the black-lipped pearl mussel "Pinctada margaritifera cumingii" is called in Polynesia. The mother-of-pearl of the "Te ufi" is silver-grey on the shell, anthracite-colored towards the edge, sometimes to smoky brown and black. A pronounced iridescent play of colors is typical of the individual, large pearls, which can show overtones of green and pink tones depending on the incidence of light and the intensity of the light
