About the Item
This stunning sculpture choker necklace was designed by American artist Eileen Aubi in 1961. The gilded coating resin pebbles with a hand-made feel are topped with black stone chips and complemented with gilded metal beads. The hand-written signature at the back reads Aubi - 1961 - © - NY.
Eileen Aubi was born in New York in 1933. She was a jewelry designer from the 1960s until the 1990s with her company, Aubi Designs Inc. In 1987, she began a new career as an instructor for an art school.
The choker is in good condition, with patina and oxidation on the metal coating and minor metal fading on the beads.
Measurements: The necklace's total length is 15.75 in (40 cm) - each pebble is 1.50 in long (3.8 cm) x 1.25 in wide (3.2 cm).
