About the Item
This antique late 19th century blood coral necklace is created with 14 karat gold clasp a filigree work, and set with cabochon blood coral approx.10mm. The clasp has additional chain for safety. The beautiful two rows-strand coral necklace is strung with small coral beads approx. 3.75mm and the strands. The necklace is worn in one row!
In the 16th century, the traditional costume was created in the Netherlands, including jewelry made of coral, which lasted until the 20th century. These types of jewels represent a varied and rich historical Dutch cultural heritage, worn by women in some parts of the Netherlands.
The necklace is in very good condition and of high quality. Marked and tested as 14 karat gold.
