Outstanding sautoir necklace with three rows of 80 cultured pearls, each 8.5 mm in diameter, and a delicate oriental finish.
Crafted in White gold, with contrasting details on the clasp.
The necklace features a spectacular clasp as its focal point, a common design element in these pieces during the 1940s and 50s. Made in white gold , it boasts a beautiful design of bows and festoons framing a stunning deep green emerald-cut chrysoprase, adorned with 12 brilliant-cut white Sapphires totaling approximately 0.02 carats and measuring approximately 1.6 mm in diameter , 4 smaller brilliant-cut White sapphires and one marquise-cut White Sapphire
Chrysoprase is a gem of the chalcedony variety (a type of quartz). It is green in color, cryptocrystalline, and has a hardness of 6-7 on the Mohs scale.
Its beautiful color is due to small pieces of nickel within its structure.
