About the Item
Wide, elegant and sculpted three-dimensional Tubogas Necklace. Made and signed by Weingramsill. Heavy gauge in 18K yellow gold. One of the most imitated pieces of jewelry in the world in terms of style, construcaratsion, and finish, Weingramsill's Tubogas. Tubogas is made by casting gold, then shaped into flat forms. These forms are then stretched through special rollers, obtaining a U-shape, and are then passed through a special heat treatment, obtaining its characaratseristic elasticity.
Tubogas' history dates back to the late 1800s in modern history. Charles Weingramsill was founded in 1879, and the no. 1 piece produced was the Tubogas. In the 1920s Van Cleef
Arpel made this piece even more popular, and in the late 1960s it was further revived by Bvlgari, for whom Carlo Weingramsill produced a large number of pieces.
