About the Item
This Hans Myhre Modernist Norwegian Guilloche Enamel Silver Necklace Gilt Sterling Silver Suite including Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings, and Brooch. The set is just gorgeous! It is pre-owned but in excellent condition. Very good care has been given to this exquisite set. There is no enamel loss whatsoever. It is composed of elements in the shape of stylized lotus leaves in a deep, bright, transparent blue enameling over a ground of sterling silver with a guilloche pattern reproducing the structure of the leaf’s veins, each set with a silver ball, probably symbolizing a drop of water. The silver with a light gold wash. All the enamel pieces are .88 inches round, and each piece of the suite is stamped ‘925 S STERLING’; maker’s mark (anchor); ‘MADE IN NORWAY’. The total weighty in grams is 115.31. The set was made sometime during 1950 to 1960. To all the pieces of this suite together is just remarkable. This is such a treasure! A set I would love to have in my collection.
The necklace is 16 inches long and could easily be extended by the addition of some silver jump rings.
The earrings are clip-on and close gently and do not slip or pinch. They are .88 inches round.
The bracelet is 7.25 inches long and has a lock-in clasp that is very secure.
The brooch consists of 3 circles and measures 1.5 x 1.5 inches.
