An important Otto Müller Vintage Pearl Rhinestone Choker from the 1950s. A wonderfully crafted and super-stylish piece. Fancy cut crystals adorn the front and embellish the clasp. A mesmerising and eternally chic piece from a now legendary period of costume jewellery design and craftmanship.
Crafted in the heart of post-war Germany’s most renowned jewellery district, this piece reflects the legacy of Otto Müller. A master of luxury costume jewellery based in Kaufbeuren-Neugablonz. In the mid-20th century, this region gained international acclaim for its exquisite craftsmanship, attracting iconic fashion houses like Christian Dior. Müller himself produced designs for Dior and once partnered with Max Müller, a celebrated figure known for his orchid-inspired creations. Echoes of that signature style may be seen in the delicate artistry of this piece - a tribute to the golden era of German costume jewellery.
Vintage Condition: Very good vintage condition overall. Upon close inspection, a very small number of pearls exhibit some small areas of peeling and some ever so slight discolouration - all minimal for the age of this piece and unnoticeable when worn. The necklace remains a great looking piece.
