About the Item
This spiral clear lucite collar necklace from the 80's is by a well known Californian artist named Judith Hendler. This is similar to her collection called telephone cord. The sculptural look of the spirals will look great against bare skin, white, black or colors. Looks great on the chest and neck. The necklaces 6.25" H x 6" w x interior is 5.25" W. The spirals are 5/8" L x .25" W Perfect for summer times, resort and cruise wear... and all times. We also have a wonderful cuff bracelet to match that is already featured on the fashion jewelry section and our website here. Sold separately.

Judith Hendler
Judith Hendler was already a nationally known artist before she started making her unique lucite jewelry. Her paper sculptures were exhibited all over California and in New York City. Hendler, Los Angeles-born, began making jewelry from her husband's discarded acrylic extrusions left over from the manufacture of aircraft windshields and cockpit canopies. Hendler's jewelry distributed under the name Acri-Gems Inc., her brand was soon being sold at Bonwit Teller, Saks Fifth Avenue, Etc. Specifically noted was a piece worn by actresses Joan Collins on the Television series Dynasty in 1985.
