About the Item

A wonderful and highly chic necklace designed by Regitz Overgaard for Georg Jensen, cool and elegant, from the 1990s. The necklace can also become a low choker, through the fastening of a second catch, as shown in the photographs. Created in an interlocking pattern of solid and linear 'circles' it forms a fluid 'chainmail' effect throughout. The silver has a softness and smoothness about it, and a slight 'matt' finish, which gives the necklace a cool reflective quality overall. It is fully hall marked with the Georg Jensen mark, 925 S and the number: 464. It comes with its original box. Regitze Overgaard started working with the Georg Jensen company in 1980, and has had a working relationship with the company ever since, designing up to the modern day. Her designs are modernist and very distinctive. She joins a notable list of outstanding designers for the company, including Henning Koppel and Vivianna Turow Bulow-Hube. Georg Jensen is a world famous and highly successful Danish company, started by Georg Jensen, a silversmith, in 1899. H initially created designs in the Art Nouveau style, and the company continued into last century, with some of the most iconic and stylish Modernist deigns, still continuing to this day globally.
