It instead was carved and created by him in 1983 when he was experimenting with so many new ideas. Beautiful Trifari brushed and shiny gold plated leaf link design necklace. Length 40.5 cm / 15.9 inches, including the extension, by width 1.2 cm / .47 inch. There is wear to the gold plating. This lovely vintage necklace would look wonderful with a vintage or modern outfit. Trifari was born in Naples, Italy, but emigrated to New York in 1902. Gustavo Trifari began his own jewellery business in 1918 when he met Leo Kraussman. They were joined by Carl Fishel, in 1925. In 1975 the company was bought by Hallmark, and since then has been taken over by several companies. In 2000 production was finally moved overseas which brought an end to high quality signed Trifari jewellery.
