A Vintage Grossé Modernist Necklace and earring set with harlequin bracelet. Some of Grossé's best pieces are the modernist inspired designs. This exceptional collar and earrings, accompanied by an unsigned 'matched' bracelet is certain to transcend the decades with style and elegance upon every wear. Henkel Grossé are world class producers of costume jewellery. As esteemed German jewellers their work spans almost the entire 20th century. In particular, the jewellery line produced for Christian Dior from the mid 1950s was to earn them a distinguished place in fashion history. Following the success of their early creations for the Dior boutiques, such was Monsieur Christian Dior's confidence in their abilities that the two companies struck a commercial partnership and endured for more than fifty years. France's premium couture house striking such a significant commercial deal with a German company so soon post war attracted criticism. Yet Christian Dior, the relentless innovator, was not for stalling and during their hugely successful partnership Henkel Grossé not only manufactured but ultimately designed Christian Dior's costume jewellery and well beyond the death of Christian Dior himself.
