About the Item
Old wedding handcrafted choker necklace hails from Sri Lanka or South India and showcases exquisite craftsmanship. Made from gold-gilt silver, the necklace features 19 beautifully crafted closed-back panels, each set with foiled-back gemstones that electronically test positive for tourmaline, though due to their foiled backs, the exact stone type is difficult to confirm. The panels are intricately woven together with a handmade chain, and the necklace is finished with faux pearls that complement the rich design. The back of the necklace includes an adjustable cord, allowing for a customizable fit.
Though unsigned, the piece has been acid-tested for high-quality silver, confirming its authenticity. This necklace dates back to the first half of the 20th century, making it a rare and valuable collectible.
