About the Item
This stunning set of a signed necklace and earrings was made by a fabulous artisan jeweler who studied at The Rhode Island School of Design. His name is Andrew Spingarn. He only worked in jewelry in the 80's and did all the work himself. A true artisan and jeweler. The necklace is gold plated and has green glass stones. It is a multi strand or chain necklace with a long pendant that mimics the long dangle earrings. This is a true stunner on. Andrew did all the metal plating and glass in the manner of the house of Gripoix. This piece is "one of a kind" ! He is no longer working in jewelry. The multi chain necklace has a pendant dangling and is repetitive of the earrings. This is a piece de resistance set and can be worn together or separately. It deserves all beautiful comments and commentary. It is rich looking! The metal tag says spingarn NYC The workmanship is superb. Sorry the initial photo does not show the beauty. In essence these are 2 separate pieces that can act together or just by themselves. This is a stellar set of 2 amazing pieces of artisan deigned jewelry. His pieces were sold at Bergdorf Goodman at one time in NYC. Green now is a good color for the seasons of spring and summer to come. It can be worn for any climate. A piece de resistance indeed! Sold as a set only!
