About the Item
Italian, circa 1850s-1860s, probably made at Vatican workshops.
The pendant is crafted in 18K gold. It is designed in Etruscan revival style, fashionable in the mid 19th century, and embellished with fine micro mosaics of floral and berry motifs.
Traces of pin removal on the back of the pendant.
The chain is crafted in 14K gold.
Total weight (pendant and chain) is 22.65 grams.
The pendant measures (without bail) 62 x 36 mm (2 1/2 x 1 3/8 in.)
