About the Item
Beautiful Art Deco Platinon festoon necklace, featuring blue crystal drops. The faceted crystals are raised at the front and pointed at the back, for maximum sparkle. Length 39.5cm / 15.5 inches by width 1.3cm / .5 inch. The necklace is in very good condition. The spring bolt clasp was not working properly, so we have replaced it with a vintage sterling silver clasp.
This wonderful fine quality necklace looks stunning glinting in the light. Circa 1920s. A rare find.
Platinon is an imitation platinum developed in the 1920s by John Wall of Birmingham, England. It was advertised as untarnishable.
