About the Item
This is an elegant aquamarine and diamond pendant necklace, from the Edwardian era. The necklace consists of a central cushion-shaped aquamarine drop, surrounded by natural pearls and old cut diamonds in a typical Edwardian openwork plaque setting crafted in platinum. Both aquamarine drops are articulated and set from a short knife edge bar. All the stones are finely set typical of the era with the diamonds in a platinum set millgrain edge. The necklace also features a pear shaped aquamarine drop and is suspended on a platinum chain with its original bolt ring clasp.
The aquamarines are most likely Brazillian Santa Maria and are the finest quality.
