About the Item
An Edwardian diamond and sapphire necklet, to the centre an old European-cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.75 carats, surrounded by a row of calibrated sapphires and an outer row of twelve round old-cut diamonds, all suspended by a run consisted of navette-shape rose-cut diamond encrusted links, alternating with sets of three round old-cut diamonds, all attached to platinum trace chain with box clasp, all mounted in platinum, circa 1910, total length of the chain 44cm, gross weight 9.1 grams.
This antique necklet is in very good condition for is age. Unmarked, tested as platinum, with platinum chain and clasp with 18ct gold tongue.

Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This piece is emblematic of early twentieth century design, with its gorgeous drop shape and use of platinum, diamonds, and sapphire. The central drop pendant is dazzling, featuring a central diamond surrounded by bright sapphires providing a beautiful complement to the diamond and platinum setting. This graceful and feminine piece would add subtle sparkle to an evening dress.
