About the Item
A mid-Victorian half pearl, diamond and blue enamel suite, the suite consisting of a necklace, a bracelet and a pair of earrings, each set to the centre with an old cut diamond surrounded by four half-pearls, embellished with rose-cut diamonds on blue enamel dome, surrounded by a cluster of half pearls within blue-enamel border, all set to yellow gold mount, the necklace suspended by snake chain with half-pearl and enamel clasp, the matching bracelet with gold cuff fitting, in fitted cases by Howell James
Co circa 1860, the pendant measuring approximately 5.5 x 3.6cm, the earrings measuring approximately 4.5 x 2.5cm, the bracelet 5.4cm in diameter, gross weight 121.4 grams.
This ornate and detailed Victorian set comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This set features a matching necklace, earrings, and bangle bracelet. Each piece features a royal blue enamel oval set with a star of diamonds and pearls. Further pearls and blue enamel form the boarder to the central piece. The diamonds are sparkling, and the pearls are lustrous, both providing a luxurious complement to the yellow gold and blue enamel. This piece exemplifies High Victorian style, and worn together, would look striking and dramatic paired with an evening gown.
