About the Item
A stunning vintage Couture necklace made by the French Atalier Roger Scemama in the mid 1950’s.
The design consists of a single row of crystal rhinestone set florets - rose pink oval stones with stamens set with dark sapphire rhinestones.
Five larger florets form the centre section of the necklace - these set with rose pink oval rhinestones with a clear rhinestone centre. Set within these florets are wired drops set with pale sapphire rhinestones.
Suspended from the central florets are further floret drops - on the outer two florets, a smaller floret set with pale sapphire oval rhinestones and clear rhinestone set stamens; the inner two florets with a rose pink set floret with dark sapphire set stamens and wired drops set with pale sapphire rhinestones; the central floret has suspended a further to florets set with rose pink oval rhinestones, a central clear rhinestone and dark sapphire set stamens - both with wired drops set with pale sapphire rhinestones.
All stones are unfoiled and open backed.
A hook clasp is fitted and the necklace has a pink rhinestone set extender.
The base of the hook clasp is marked Made in France.
The length is 15 inches with a 2 inch extender. The central drop is 3 inches.
