About the Item
Splendid and exotic drop necklace consisting of a central pear cut diamond of 1,90 carats in addition to 136 rose-cut diamonds. Antique, Victorian period (19th century, 1870). Mounted in silver over rose gold, classic piece of antique jewellery. These necklaces often feature the distinctive rose cut diamonds, which have a flat bottom and a dome-shaped top that resembles the petals of a rose. The silver topping over gold was a common technique used during the Victorian era to enhance the appearance of the diamonds, making them appear brighter and more reflective. Masterfully crafted, hand fabricated. Splendid, classy and with a very elegant touch and feel. Glittering up and down with an array of rose-cut diamonds with a larger pear-shaped shining in the centre.
